Online is BrainStorm’s 2nd internationally released album produced by Brit Tony Mansfield, (worked with A-ha, B52's, etc). It was second time to team up with T.Mansfield who in 2000 produced BrainStorm’s international break-through hit My Star. Musical material for Online mostly was created during extensive touring in Europe in 2000. At the beginning of 2001 band entered Ridge Farm Studios (England) and Puk Studio (Denmark) for the most intense, most creative and hard-working sessions during their existence. The result was worth it. 11 beautifully ethereal and dreamy songs full of fresh romance, bitter-sweet wit and sheer excitement was recorded.
One thing everyone needs to keep in mind about BrainStorm in 2001 is that the great guitar driven indie-pop of Among The Suns was gone. It's the great indie-pop of Online we got instead. Not that the boys had forgotten their guitars back at home. Simply their sound became more sophisticated, more complex and rich, a bit experimental (with lots of electronics, drum and guitar loops used) but still shamelessly appealing, radio-friendly and commercial in the best sense of the word.
"We believe that spirit of BrainStorm still lives in every of those tracks. We just changed our clothing of sound," - that's BrainStorm’s comment about the album called Online.

- Single Maybe stormed over the Poland - #5 on Top 100 on airplay chart summary of year 2001; #1 on Top 40 hits of the year on biggest Poland’ s radio; #1 on Radio Music Hot Picks 2001 – a hot chart compiled by 63 radiostations; #1 Wk 42, 43, 44, 45, 46 on National airplay and video for Maybe was on Heavy rotation on MTV Poland, A-list on VIVA Poland.
- Maybe - Song of the year 2001 on two biggest Lithuania’ s radios - M1 and Radio centras
- Single Maybe was played on radios across Europe, Indonesia, Russia and Brasil.
- Album received 5 annual Latvian Music Awards trophies.
- Album tour in Poland (7 dates, 4 of them sold out) and Czech Republic; supporting The Cranberries (Germany, Italy, Belgium, Czech Republic); supporting Depeche Mode (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia)
